GARDEN TO URN

This is a perfect way to enjoy some floral indulgence whilst gaining a new skill.

Immerse yourself in the peace and tranquility of the walled garden where you will be working with flowers from the garden’s abundant selection of flowers.  This course is ideal for someone wanting to learn to put a beautifully balanced and elegant urn arrangement together.  We have selected a striking urn, both attractive and quite contemporary looking - ridged zinc - which should suit most interiors.

The morning will start with coffee and cake.  Following this, our teacher will demonstrate the process of creating an urn arrangement, showing you how to work free from foam.  You will then use the flowers you have cut from the garden to fill your urn, with help from our teacher as needed.  

Numbers will be kept small to ensure an intimate experience at Dorset Walled Garden.  The course will finish with some time for questions and we will send you home with some of our favourite June cut flower seeds - it will soon be time to sow next year’s home supply for you to grow, cut and arrange.

This workshop is suitable for all levels of experience, from beginner upwards.
